Idaho Falls Woman Killed In Late-Night Car Crash

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal single-vehicle accident.

According to the sheriff’s office, Martine Nelson, 40, of Idaho Falls, died when she was partially thrown from her Dodge Durango late Friday night.

Deputies responded to the scene on 5th West around 11:20 p.m, where Nelson was pronounced dead.

The vehicle lost control around a curve, striking a fence and a nearby bridge, according to investigators.

Investigators believe that speed contributed to the accident and said Nelson was not wearing a seat belt.
