Man Accused Of Using Dad’s Card For Night On Town
A Utah man who told prosecutors he just needed to escape is accused of taking his dad’s credit card to hire a limo, spend a night in a posh Salt Lake City hotel and buy his chauffeur a laptop at an Apple store.
The 26-year-old Charles Chase Iorg was charged Thursday with felony unlawful use of a credit card and felony unlawful possession of a credit card.
Court documents say he’d been staying with his parents and took his father’s Visa to make nearly $5,400 in purchases Jan. 27 before returning it to where he found it.
Iorg left his own Utah food stamps card behind when he checked out of the Grand America Hotel.
It’s not clear whether he has an attorney. His phone number isn’t listed.
