Marsh Valley Students Accused Of Having Heroin

Four Marsh Valley High School Students are facing charges related to a drug arrest made Thursday morning.

Bannock County Sheriff Lorin Nielson, said Thursday morning, the school resource officer made a routine traffic stop near the school. While searching the car the officer found Heroin and other drug paraphernalia, leading to the arrest of 18-year-old twin brothers Ryan and Kyle Austin , as well as 18-year-old Zachary Leiby.

The Austin brothers are being charged with possession of heroin, Leiby is being charged with frequenting a place where drugs are used, and faces questioning in an unrelated case. All three have been booked into the Bannock County Jail.

Another teen, Brandon Denny, was cited and released for frequenting a place where drugs are used.

A 17-year-old juvenile was also taken into custody, he is facing charges of selling prescription drugs. He was taken to the Bannock County Juvenile Detention Center.
