E. Idaho Ag Hall Of Fame Inducts New Members

Five eastern Idaho men were honored Friday night for their contributions to the Ag industry in the community.

The Eastern Idaho Agriculture Hall of Fame recognized farmers and ranchers who are outstanding in their fields.

Friday night?s dinner gave friends and family members a chance to show thanks for doing so much to produce food for Idaho and the world.

“(We?re honoring them) for all of the lifetime service and contributions that they have given to the Ag industry,? Matt Gellings said. ?Some of these people have given their heart and soul to push the agriculture interests, and Ag is what actually drives this economy.”

This year?s inductees are Daniel Mickelson from Grace, Dick Baker from Clayton, Don Olson from Salmon, Stan Gortserna from American Falls, and Pete McGarry from Hamer.

More than 190 people have been entered into the hall of fame over the past 40 years.
