Two Women Die In Wyoming Crash
Two women have died in a highway crash in Lincoln County, Wyoming.
At 2:42 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, 60-year-old Verna Prater, who was traveling westbound on U.S. 30 seven miles east of Kemmerer, lost control of her vehicle and went off onto the side of the roadway. She then struck a delineator post and then oversteered to the left, which caused her to come back onto the highway and cross the center line into the eastbound lane, police said.
Prater struck another car head-on, killing herself and the driver of the other vehicle, 60-year-old Kathleen Collings.
The crash caused the temporary closure of U.S. 30 until troopers could investigate and clear the crash scene.
