Tanner Cox court appearance
Tanner cox, the man accused of beating Joshua Olzak to death appeared in court again on Wednesday.
This time two of the officers involved the night of the incident spoke.
The defense attorney made a motion to suppress the statements Cox made to police on the night of the arrest.
Sergeant Prudent and Officer Godfrey talked about whether Cox needed to be mirandized the night of the arrest- since he was detained and not free to go.
Video from a police body cam and video from the police car were also released to the judge today.
Cox’s trial is set for september 14th with a pre trial september 2nd.
He is being charged with voluntary manslaughter and could face 15 years in prison and $15,000 fine.
