Lightning strike sparks hay fire
A small hay fire is burning on 70 East Rich Lane in Blackfoot.
Firefighters say the fire was sparked by a lightning strike Friday afternoon.
Firefighters from Blackfoot, Shelley, Firth, and Fort Hall are on the scene to contain the fire. The firefighters plan to stay through the night to make sure it doesn’t pick back up and burns out with no further damage.
