Former Blackfoot High School coach faces seven counts of lewd conduct
Former Blackfoot High School head girls’ soccer coach Alisha Yeates has been charged with seven counts of lewd conduct in Bingham and Bannock counties.
The cases involve two girls, one in each county, who were coached by Yeates in 2013. Yeates was charged by Bannock County in June and Bingham County in July. The charges are related to incidents from 2012 to 2014.
If convicted on the charges, Yeates could be sentenced to life in prison and fined $50,000 for each charge.
The Bannock County girl was 13 when she was allegedly involved with Yeates for nearly a year. Yeates then allegedly began a relationship with the Bingham County girl for a couple of months.
Both counties set bond at $50,000 for Yeates; she was able to post both bonds in July.
Yeates will appear in Bannock County court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing. No hearing has been scheduled in Bingham County yet.
