Idaho Falls city councilwoman won’t seek third term
Idaho Falls City Councilwoman Sharon Parry has announced she will not be a candidate for re-election this fall. She is finishing her second four-year term.
Calling herself “self term-limited”, Parry said she would leave the council seat for personal reasons. She also cited deep divisions between herself and Mayor Rebecca Casper regarding financial management issues.
Parry told Local News 8 and Eyewitness News she did not plan a run for the Mayor’s office in two years. However, she said she might consider running for a County Commission seat in the future.
Businesswoman Michelle Ziel-Dingman has already announced she will seek the Seat One city council position in November.
