Crews tidy up amphitheatre in time for first concert
The first concert at the Portneuf Wellness Complex’s amphitheatre is only one week away. Crews are working to tidy things up in time.
The Beach Boys along with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band will be the first performers on August 31 at 7:30 p.m.
The amphitheatre will be able to accomodate 11,000 people, that includes VIP boxes, a seating area by the front of the stage and grass seating.
“A lot of people are still up (at the amphitheatre) running around trying to finish up the little odds and ends,” said Keevan Shropshire, the complex’s structural architext. “It’s looking very good and I’m very positive things are going to run smoothly.”
