Zombie run benefits school

People of Blackfoot ran for their lives Saturday . The “Escape from Zombies Blood -n- Mud Run” was held at Fast Eddy’s Paint Ball Course.

The run was an event to raise money for the operating costs of the new Sons of Thunder Athletic Academy. The school is a K-12 program combining school with intense sports training. Escape from the Zombies 5K was an obstacle course marathon with zombies chasing and spraying water at the runners. Contestants were sliding down hills, crawling under obstacles, even running a tire drill. Runners and zombies crossed the finish line to be met with fire hoses to clean off all that blood and mud.

Escape from the zombies will hold another Blood and Mud Run in October.
