Small plane recovered from Snake River

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s office recovered a small plane from the Snake River Friday.

According to the sheriff’s office, it took a few hours to recover it because of the strong current.

That plane crashed Thursday night in the river near Irwin after hitting a power line. The sheriff’s office said the pilot, Kevin Bloxham, and his young passenger were able to get out and are OK.

The Department of Environmental Quality said the crash isn’t expected to cause much damage to the environment.
