Weekend Anchor / Reporter
KIFI Local News 8 and KIDK Eyewitness News have an opening for weekend news anchor and reporter.
We are looking for an individual who has reporting experience and wants to move into the anchor chair. We need someone who can take the bull by the horns and make one of the best weekend newscasts in the market.
The candidate will be responsible for producing and anchoring the newscasts on the weekends and reporting 3 days a week.
This includes shooting, writing, and editing for stories both on-air and online. You will work with some of the highest digital technology in the market, including Sony XDCAM HD cameras, Velocity editors, ENPS and three live trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Gathering information, shooting, writing, producing, editing and presenting stories as assigned.
• Maintaining contacts with assigned beats and contributing story ideas and suggestions.
• Following up on stories to find new developments
• Maintaining a good knowledge of local events and issues.
• Seeking out newsworthy people and events.
• Representing the station at public events.
• Rewriting and placing stories on the station website.
Candidates must have a degree in journalism, media, or related field.
