Accident leaves semitruck blocking U.S. 91 in Bannock County

UPDATE: 8/2/17 7:02 a.m.: ISP investigated a two-vehicle injury crash southbound US 91 at Ballard Road, south of Fort Hall. Janet Silveira, 19, of Fort Hall, ID, was going westbound on Ballard Road in a 1999 Ford Taurus. She failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with Bryan Speck, 49, of Idaho Falls, ID. Speck was traveling southbound on US91 in a 2006 international semi pulling a trailer.

Janet Silveira was taken to Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello by ground ambulance. The intersection was blocked for about two hours.

UPDATE: 8/1/17 9:34 p.m.: ISP has reported it as an injury accident.

ISP said it will release more details as they become available.

ORIGINAL STORY: Idaho State Police are responding to an accident on U.S. 91 & Ballard Road in Bannock County.

According to ISP, it is a car versus semi accident. The semi is currently blocking the road.

Bannock County Search and Rescue is blocking off traffic from Reservation Road to Cemetery Road while emergency responders work to clear the accident.

ISP said there were no reports of injuries yet, but ISP troopers were still en route to the accident.
