Bingham County issues burn ban

Bingham County Commissioners have signed a resolution enacting a ban on open fire. The ban will be in effect from August 18 through October 25, 2017 or until the board determines that conditions and circumstances have changed. The ban includes open fires of any kind on private property. Those within established cities should contact their local fire department for any fire-related questions or permission to burn. The ban excludes campfires built within an approved fire pit at improved campgrounds or picnic areas. Burn permits are required for agricultural burning, but no permits are being issued at this time. Bannock and Bonneville Counties have already enacted similar bans.
