Eclipse viewers begin to fill Idaho Falls parks

Idaho Falls eclipse viewing sites are filling up. Bonneville County Incident Command said the River Walk is at capacity and Broadway is very congested. City parks still had room for viewing at 10 a.m., but were filling up quickly. Locals and guests are advised to walk or bike to the park. Freeman Park is at 60 percent of capacity, Community Park at 60 percent and Tautphaus Park at 40 percent capacity. Travelers are advised not to stop along highway exits, interstates, and highways. South Tourist Park is full and reserved campsites at Sandy Downs are sold out. Traffic is beginning to stack up from Shelley to Idaho Falls. State Police are controlling the Grandview intersection and some parts of it are closed. The light has been programmed green in one direction. There are currently no issues with the internet, cell phone, or radio communications.
