Man dies in ATV crash in Logan Canyon

A man died after failing to make a turn on an ATV and driving over a 15-foot drop-off.

The Deseret News reports the Cache County Sheriff’s Office says the man was riding the four-wheeler Saturday in the Franklin Basin area of Logan Canyon.

Investigators say the man failed to make a bend on the road and fell over the drop-off.

The sheriff’s office says the victim was found unconscious and not breathing.

The sheriff’s office says bystanders performed CPR while medical crews and a helicopter were on the way. Medical personnel continued lifesaving efforts when they arrived, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man’s name has not been released because the crash is under investigation.
