Jackson Hole fire restrictions being lifted Thursday
Jackson Hole Fire/EMS is lifting its partial fire restrictions effective Thursday. Because eclipse crowds are leaving the area, interagency fire managers are reviewing fire risks due to human causes. Even though the restrictions are being lifted, fire danger is still rated as “high”. “There still is plenty of potential for wildland fire,” said Fire Marshal Kathy Clay. “Frost has hit much of the valley’s vegetation and grasses are curing quickly.” Fireworks are illegal in all of Teton County, Wyoming and the Town of Jackson. Other agencies lifting fire restrictions Thursday include the Bridger-Teton National Forest, Grand Teton National Park, High Desert district of the Bureau of Land Management, and Sublette County.
