Weather update for August 24th & 25th

Due to area wildfire smoke, there is an air quality advisory for Lemhi and Custer county. On Friday, around 11 a.m. an air quality update will be released.

On Thursday, thunderstorm activity across the Central Mountains is expected. Some thunderstorm activity is possible along the Utah border on Thursday.

Only a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms activity on Friday. Over the weekend a ridge of high pressure will build back up over the region. Expect drier and warmer weather conditions for Saturday through the start of the upcoming work week. By next Wednesday, highs will likely drop by a few degrees.

Friday: Potential for thunderstorm activity over the Central Mountains. Partly sunny with highs in the 80’s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the 80’s.

Saturday: Mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80’s.
