Heritage Park and Eastside Greenbelt projects approved

Idaho Falls has signed a contract with Design Workshop, Inc. to construct the new Heritage Park near the southern edge of Snake River Landing. The contract stipulates the cost would not exceed the price of $197,839 for construction, $21,730 for construction administration, and $24,003 ro other costs. Heritage Park will be built on 14 donated acres with commitments by private and non-profit partners. It is intended to highlight the unique heritage of Idaho Falls and eastern Idaho. The City Council has also approved apparent low bids for construction of the Eastside Greenbelt Pathway from Pancheri Drive to West Broadway. HK Contractors won the apparent low bid of $271,921.50. Work on the project will begin next spring.
