Fire Weather Watch

The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Fire Weather Watch for Wednesday. “Moisture will continue to stream into central and southeast Idaho Wednesday with scattered thunderstorms expected throughout the region. * WIND…Wind gusts of 30 mph expected near thunderstorm outflow. * HUMIDITY…Minimum 10 to 20 percent * THUNDERSTORMS…Scattered thunderstorms expected to develop Wednesday afternoon after noon. Expected to continue through much of the evening with a mix of wet and dry. Outflow winds of 30 mph possible. * IMPACTS…any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A fire weather watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.”
