Airport firefighters called to I-15 vehicle fire

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI/KIDK)-UPDATE:

Idaho State Police said Apollo Gromiller, 19, of McAllister, Montana was driving southbound on Interstate 15 in a Toyota 4-Runner.   The truck went off the left side of the road, over-corrected and rolled. 

The vehicle came to rest on the right shoulder and caught fire. Idaho Falls Fire and Airport Fire personnel put out the fire and removed Gromiller from the vehicle.   He was transported to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.   

His condition is unknown.




One man was hospitalized in critical condition after a crash and fire near milepost 120 on Interstate 15 at around 7:42 p.m. Tuesday.

The Idaho Falls Fire Department said it happened in the southbound lane near the Idaho Falls Regional Airport.

There were no other injuries or vehicles involved in the incident. Idaho State Police is investigating . No additional information has yet been released.
