Raiders player Charles Snowden facing misdemeanor DUI charge after Las Vegas arrest

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say they found Raiders football player Charles Snowden passed out behind the wheel of a Jeep Cherokee atop a retaining wall before his arrest on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. A report says Snowden’s blood-alcohol content tested at more than twice the legal limit in Nevada. The NFL, the Raiders and Snowden’s attorneys acknowledged Thursday that the 26-year-old first-year defensive end was arrested early Tuesday. He faces an April 15 court date. It’s not clear yet whether the arrest will affect Snowden’s status with the team. He could face a three-game suspension without pay for a first violation of the NFL alcohol abuse policy.
