MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — A person with knowledge of the matter said after the game that there will be a joint review by the NFL and the National Football League Players Association of what went into the decision to allow Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to return to a game despite what was called a head injury. The person spoke on condition of anonymity to The Associated Press because that probe was not revealed publicly. Tagovailoa briefly left Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills after hitting the back of his head on the turf. The real issue apparently was his back. He wound up missing the Dolphins’ last three offensive snaps of the first half, then was back on the field for the start of the second half.
