The Nation’s Weather for Tuesday, November 12, 2019

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

A sprawling storm system will bring accumulating snow across

the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and interior Northeast

tomorrow. Some areas downwind of the Great Lakes could pick

up more than 2 feet of snow between the storm system and

lake-effect snow that will follow. Along the East coast,

temperatures will remain high enough tomorrow to allow for

all precipitation to fall as rain. As the storm sweeps

through, crashing temperatures will follow in the wake of

the storm. Across the center of the country where the storm

has already departed, record-challenging cold will encompass

a wide swath from the northern Plains to the Gulf Coast.

Across the West, dry and settled conditions will persist as

a ridge of high pressure continues to sit overhead.
