The Nation’s Weather for Wednesday, November 13, 2019

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

A storm system bringing accumulating snow across the

interior Northeast and Great Lakes will come to an end

tomorrow. In the wake of the storm system,

record-challenging cold will surge southward from Canada.

Portions of the Great Lakes, Northeast, Ohio Valley and even

the Deep South may break records as winterlike air sits over

much of the eastern United States. Across the center of the

country, a fast-moving clipper system will spread snow and

possibly some light freezing rain across portions of the

Plains and Midwest. Farther west, a ridge of high pressure

over California will continue to promote dry and settled

conditions across the state. Due to the delayed start of the

rainy season in California, an elevated fire danger still

remains despite lighter wind.
