The Nation’s Weather for Thursday, November 14, 2019

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

High pressure encompassing a majority of the United States

east of the Rockies will continue to promote mainly dry and

cool conditions tomorrow. A weak disturbance tracking

through the Great Lakes will aid in the development of

lake-effect snow showers, but with limited moisture in

place, snowfall will not amount to much in the typical snow

belt locations. Elsewhere, a developing storm system

tracking into the Gulf of Mexico will begin to spread rain

from coastal Texas, eastward to the Carolinas. Rain across

the Southeast will be very beneficial to the region, as

moderate-to-severe drought conditions are in place. Across

the West, the persistent ridge of high pressure will

continue to promote dry and settled conditions across the

region.
