Tropical Weather-Atlantic

Tropical Weather-Atlantic for Wednesday, November 13, 2019

Atlantic basin remains quiet for now

The Atlantic basin remains devoid of any organized tropical features, and no tropical development is anticipated through at least Saturday.

A non-tropical storm is forecast to develop off the southeast coast of the United States during the upcoming weekend. This storm might attempt to acquire some tropical characteristics during early

next week as the system separates from an old frontal boundary and moves northeast. This could cause the system to become a subtropical storm for a short period of time.

Low pressure forming along a tropical wave well east of the Lesser Antilles will move northward, passing well east of the Lesser Antilles during early next week. This system will also be watched for

possible tropical or subtropical development.
