The Nation’s Weather for Friday, December 13, 2019

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

As high pressure moves away from the East coast tomorrow,

moisture across the Southeast will begin to push to the

north. While periods of rain will spread into the

mid-Atlantic states, cold air lingering over Appalachian

Mountains could allow for some freezing as rain arrives

before temperatures rise above freezing. Rain will spread

into the Northeast through the overnight hours. A small

storm system will bring snow to the northern Plains as it

tracks across the region. Meanwhile, the next storm system

will be pushing inland over the Northwest, bringing another

round of rain and mountain snow to the area. A high pressure

area will help keep the Southwest and southern Plains

largely dry.
