The Nation’s Weather

The Nation’s Weather for Saturday, December 28, 2019
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
As light snow and flurries taper off in northern New England
tomorrow, an area of high pressure will build into the
Northeast and promote dry conditions across the region.
Farther south, high pressure will move east and away from
the Southeast. Moisture will be pulled north on the southern
edge of the high and can lead to spotty showers in parts of
the Southeast. Meanwhile, a potent storm will take shape
across the Plains. Snow is expected to spread from the
southern Rocky Mountains into the northern Plains, while
periods of rain drench parts of the center and southern
Plains. Outside of snow lingering in the Rockies, the West
will be largely dry.
