NATIONAL SUMMARY

Unseasonably chilly air will invade eastern and southern

portions of the country tomorrow in the wake of a cold

front. The Northeast will remain blustery with rain and

snow showers. The snowstorm in Maine will taper off

throughout the day. Showers and thunderstorms will hover

along the Gulf Coast and erupt over the southern Plains.

Dry weather with sunshine is expected across the North

Central states as milder air returns to the northern

Plains. Mainly dry weather will persist in the Northwest

with just a few rain and snow showers over the northern

Rockies. The storm system that has soaked the Southwest this

week will remain nearly stationary over Southern California,

bringing more showers to the region.
