The Nation’s Weather for Thursday, April 30, 2020

A storm system loaded with moisture will crawl across the

Eastern Seaboard tomorrow. Rainfall heavy enough to trigger

flash flooding can occur from Pennsylvania to eastern North

Carolina. Embedded thunderstorms with locally damaging winds

are also possible. Cooler air is forecast to sweep in behind

the storm with showers and areas of steadier rain targeting

the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley and into the southern

Appalachians. Showers and thunderstorms will extend

southward across Florida on the tail end of the storm. Hot,

dry weather will persist in the Southwest, as warmth expands

and builds across the Central states amid ample sunshine.

Unsettled weather will remain over the Northwest with

scattered showers and a few thunderstorms.
