High pressure will begin to build over the Great Lakes

tomorrow ushering in dry conditions for the Midwest and

Northeast. Temperatures in these areas will to dip below

normal levels and allow some relief from unseasonable heat.

Thunderstorms will bring periods of heavy rain to portions

of the Tennessee Valley and may cause flash flooding issues

for areas impacted by Laura earlier in the week. Scattered

thunderstorms will develop across the Southwest as a

stationary front remains draped over the area. A severe

event will kick off tomorrow afternoon across the Dakotas

and western Minnesota and expand southward to eastern Kansas

overnight. Hail, downpours and damaging winds will occur in

the strongest storms. Elsewhere, the risk of flash flooding

will exist for another day for parts of Arizona.
