The Nation’s Weather for Saturday, September 19, 2020

_____

NATIONAL SUMMARY

The tail end of a cold front will bring a spotty

thunderstorm to the northern and central Florida Peninsula

tomorrow. Elsewhere, a disturbance will bring showers and

thunderstorms to portions of Idaho as well as Montana.

Thunderstorms could also rumble in western Wyoming and even

as far south as northeastern Utah by the afternoon. Farther

west, a shower or two may dampen western Washington and

northwestern Oregon, bringing some wildfire relief. However,

gusty winds may cause erratic fire behavior ahead of the

showers. A large area of dry and cool air may promote

morning frost in portions of the interior Northeast, but

abundant sunshine will prevail. The hottest locations of the

Desert Southwest will surpass the century mark.
