Fire burns on Fort Hall Reservation

The weather may be cooling down, but local fire crews are still hard at work fighting a new wildfire. This one is burning in Caribou County.

The Rocky Canyon Fire is burning more than 800 acres on the Fort Hall Reservation.

It started Monday night at about 9:30.

The Bureau of Land Management said the fire is human-caused, but just what sparked it is still being investigated. As of Tuesday afternoon, there was no word on the level of containment of the Rocky Canyon Fire, which is categorized as active.
