Idaho Falls man dies in Clark Co. crash

An Idaho Falls man is dead after an accident on Tuesday afternoon.

Steven D. Strickling, 49, died after his 2007 Kenworth Tractor overturned, Idaho State Police said.

It happened while Strickling was driving north on Highway 28 near mile marker 41, south of Lone Pine.

He was hauling a load of road mix when he drove off the right shoulder of the roadway, lost control and drove back onto the road, according to ISP. The truck overturned coming to rest on its driver’s side in the south lane of travel.

The impact of the crash caused part of the load to scatter on the highway and roadside.

Strickling was trapped in his vehicle where he succumbed to his injures.

The south lane of travel had been blocked while crews removed the wreckage.
