Winter weather forces airlines to cancel flights between Denver and Idaho Falls

Nothing but blue skies and plenty of sunshine greet travelers as they head into Idaho Falls Regional Airport Saturday.

In Denver, however, snow-coated runways forced airplanes to cancel several flights between Denver and Idaho falls.

Greg Heuer and his young son have been trying to get home to Illinois all week via a connecting flight through Denver. So far, they haven’t had any luck.

“This is the second time we’ve been trying to get home. Two days ago we couldn’t go either ’cause of the mechanical failures,” said Heuer.

Most of today’s cancellations were incoming flights, so many were still able to travel to Denver.

“We understand that the outgoing flights is going. We haven’t seen that it’s canceled yet according to the little app I have,” said Heuer.

You can check your flight status on the Idaho Falls Regional Airport website.
