Woman arrested in connection to daughter’s injuries

An Idaho Falls woman was arrested on a felony charge of injury to a child on Friday.

Idaho Falls police said Monday that Kalonie Lopez, 33, was arrested after a confrontation with her 10-year-old daughter.

Officers learned of the alleged abuse after the girl was brought to an elementary school by a neighbor who told school officials the child had been attacked by her mother.

The injured child was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center by ambulance to be checked by doctors.

Lopez was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
