Families enjoy day of fishing to close out the weekend

Families who were in town to visit their Idaho State University students took to local ponds to go fishing to spend Sunday afternoon together.

ISU wrapped-up its third annual Family Weekend celebration with its first fishing adventure at Edson Fichter Pond.

Idaho Fish and Game helped sponsor the event and said more than 100 people signed up to enjoy the serene activities.

ISU director of Orientation and Leadership Brooke Barber said Sunday’s beautiful weather helped draw more people out.

“We are out here today so that families can enjoy being together in this beautiful environment to fish and spend time together,” Barber said.
