Idaho State falls to Northern Arizona On Senior Day

The Bengals trailed by two goals late in the match but got a free kick goal from in the 80th minute to pull within one. ISU had a couple of late chances but could not find the equalizer.

“We played some really good soccer but I feel like the emotions of this day got the best of us,” Head Coach Allison Gibson said. “I know my team better than anyone and to see the one v one battles that we came up on the short end of were kind of mental break downs on our part. I love the way we pushed at the end. It just wasn’t in the cards.”
Idaho State drops to 4-4-1 in Big Sky play with one match remaining on the regular season next Friday October 31 at Weber State. The top six teams make the Big Sky Conference tournament.

“If we’ve got something to play for next week you will absolutely see the best from this team,” Gibson said. “I still truly believe we play some of the best soccer in the Big Sky.”

ISU honored six seniors before the game. , , , , and all played their final home game in a Bengal uniform.
