Pocatello man indicted in bank robberies

A Pocatello man was indicated by a federal grand jury on two counts of bank robbery with the use of a dangerous weapon, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Idaho announced Thursday.

Randy Ted Jordan, 44, was indicted Tuesday. Authorities are looking for him after he allegedly robbed the Idaho State University Credit Union in Chubbuck on July 26 and the Global Credit Union in Coeur d’Alene on Oct. 4. The attorney’s office said he used a gun in both robberies and took cash from bank tellers.

Jordan was separately indicted last month in Utah on one count of bank robbery with the use of a dangerous weapon in the robbery of the Bank of Utah in Ogden on Aug. 7.

Bank robbery with the use of a gun is punishable by up to 25 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years of supervised release.

The case has been investigated by local and federal authorities.

Jordan is 6 feet tall, 190 pounds and has salt-and-pepper-colored hair. Chubbuck police have said Jordan should be considered armed and dangerous.
