Idaho State Scores Highest APR Rating In School History

By Idaho State Athletics,

The Idaho State University student-athletes continue to succeed in the classroom. Today the NCAA released its APR scores and the Bengals tied their school record for the highest one-year score with a 983. The one-year score is based on the 2013-14 academic year. The Bengals also set a record for the four-year average with a 973.

Because of the continued improvement in the four-year and one-year scores this is the first time in the history of APR that every team at Idaho State has a four-year score above the 930 mark the NCAA sets.

Seven of Idaho State’s 15 teams posted a perfect 1,000 score for the 2013-14 school year. Women’s golf had their fifth straight perfect score while men’s cross country had its seventh 1,000 single-year score in the last 10 years. Men’s tennis scored a 1,000 and women’s basketball achieved a perfect mark for the second time in the last three years.

Softball had a perfect single-year score for the second-straight year. Volleyball achieved a perfect 1,000 for the fifth time in 10 years and women’s tennis recorded a perfect 1,000 for the second year in a row.
