Jan Rogers to lead economic development efforts

Jan Rogers has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Economic Development Corporation for East Idaho. Rogers has been executive director of Southern Idaho Economic Development Organization for 14 years. She will join REDI September 14, 2015.

REDI was formed in April after Bonneville and Bingham counties united their economic development efforts. Interim director Darlene Gerry will step down September 11.

“We are thrilled to have Jan Rogers join REDI as CEO,” said Park Price, President of REDI and the Chairman of Bank of Idaho. “She has an outstanding reputation in economic development and will provide exactly what REDI is looking for in regards to growing our region’s economy. We are confident she will be tremendously successful in promoting Eastern Idaho to businesses looking to expand or relocate.”

“I am excited to take on this exciting new economic development challenge for Eastern Idaho,” Jan Rogers said. “This region has so much to offer to potential new employers and existing employers have tremendous opportunities to grow their organizations. Through strategic planning and regional and national marketing efforts, I hope to put Eastern Idaho on the radar for businesses considering new operations,” she said.
