Idaho Falls Police investigate bomb explosion

Idaho Falls Police are investigating an explosion that occurred early Friday morning that caused significant damage to a law office.

There are no suspects at this time.

According to police reports, firefighters and law enforcement responded to a structure fire at Swafford Law Firm, located at 525 9th St., around 12:44 this morning. It was determined that the fire was a result of a homemade bomb intentionally set off at the front door of the law office.Idaho Falls Regional Bomb Squad Technicians and Idaho Falls Police Department Investigators were called in to investigate the bomb remains.

The explosion also caused damage to an adjacent residence in the 800 block of Flora Circle. There were no reported injuries.
