Rocky Mountain Power to transfer territory to Idaho Falls Power

The Idaho Public Utilities Commission will allow Rocky Mountain Power to sell a section of its service territory to Idaho Falls Power.

Under a joint agreement, the city utility will transfer the Fielding Cemetery property at 4800 S. Yellowstone Highway for just under $50,000. The transfer includes poles, conductors, and conduits.

A 2005 agreement allows for transfer of customer services as long as the customer being served provides a written request to transfer service.
