Bingham County courthouse evacuated

The Bingham county courthouse in Blackfoot was evacuated at around 1:20 p.m. Friday.

Sheriff Craig Rowland said there was a chemical spill around pipes for either the boiler or air conditioning system in the building. The smell caused a couple of people to experience nausea, so a decision was made to evacuate the building until it was cleaned up.

Rowland was told people would be allowed back into the building around 2:15 p.m.
