Chubbuck Police provide information about alleged high-speed chase

Chubbuck Police Department is trying to clear up some misinformation about an alleged high-speed chase in the area last night.

According to Chubbuck Police, the crime started when a man and a woman stole a car. According to a store clerk at the Tobacco Connection store, the same couple then also stole beer from the store. The couple was later found after a police search in Fort Hall. Both Bannock County Sheriff’s Office and Chubbuck Police Department assisted Fort Hall Police Department in the search for the suspects.

Chubbuck Police say there was never a high-speed chase involving police officers.

Fort Hall Police are not releasing any information on the case at this time. Chubbuck Police Department is not sure if the couple is in custody at this time.
