Local financial adviser comments on Britain’s withdrawl
Investors worldwide were surprised by the outcome of the vote for Britain to withdraw from the European Union. This dramatic shift is making financial experts a bit nervous.
Financial advisers around the world are worried about the looming economic changes, especially when it comes to trading.
“You know, I think this is a good reminder to all investors everywhere to just pay attention to how you’re invested, and to make sure that your investments meet your risk tolerance. We’re a lot more closely tied with Britain than we are with other countries across the globe, so we’ll definitely have an effect. There might be some new regulation that would affect trade. It’ll be interesting to see how Britain reacts, because this is going to be an expensive transition for them,” said Jennifer Landon, president of Journey Financial Services in Ammon.
Billions, if not trillions, of dollars in the U.S could be called into question from this change in the European Union.
