Pocatello council affirms new member and HR Director

The Pocatello City Council has confirmed the nomination of Heidi Adamson to the council. Adamson will fulfill the remainder of Craig Cooper’s term. Cooper resigned the council to accept a position on the Bannock County Commission.

Adamson is a graduate of Highland High School and owner of Five Star Property Management.

“I’ve always been interested in government and I felt strongly that now would be a good time to get involved,” Adamson said. “My two children are old enough now that I have the time to dedicate to public service and I look forward to doing what I can to make our city an even better place to live, work, and play.”

The city council also confirmed Mayor Brian Blad’s appointment of Heather Buchanan as Human Resources Director for the city of Pocatello. Buchanan has been one of the city’s human resources consultants.

As the City’s Human Resources Director, Buchanan is tasked with directing all efforts of the Human Resources Department, developing personnel policies, and ensuring the City complies with federal and state statutes regarding employment law.
