St. Anthony man indicted for unlawful distribution of controlled substance

A St. Anthony man was indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury in Pocatello on three counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Paul Allen,61, is accused of unlawful distribution of Tramadol, a Schedule IV controlled substance, without lawful authorization. Allen is the owner of Falls Drug and Hardware in St. Anthony. If found guilty of the charge, US Attorney Wendy J. Olson said Allen faces up to 20 years in prison, a million-dollar fine, and at least three years of supervised release. The government is also seeking forfeiture of the proceeds involved in the offense. The case was investigated by the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
